Today, it is possible to buy a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tindie.com\/products\/tynemouthsw\/minstrel-zx80-clone\/\">clone of the ZX80 from Tynemouth Software<\/a>. The ZX80 and the ZX81 are very similar. The basic difference is that the ZX81 had the 74 chips combined into the ULA chip. This clone uses off-the-shelf components, and therefore the old ZX80 design with the individual 74s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"docs\/zx80\/chips.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"docs\/zx80\/chips_small.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"376\" \/><\/a><a href=\"docs\/zx80\/sockets.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"docs\/zx80\/sockets_small.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ICs and the sockets.
